Founded as Aaron J. Weinert Design Studio in 2011, Studio DRAW specializes in residential, commercial and retail projects. Our aesthetic sensibilities are modern yet we have a strong respect for, and commitment to, historic design. We believe old and new can and should coexist to create rich and exciting environments. Our job is to achieve your design goals and to do so within your budget; this means bringing to bear 20 years of experience making smart decisions on the behalf of our clients. Our perspective can best be summed up in the following three concepts:

Aaron B+W.jpg

Aaron is a licensed architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a certificate holder from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Aaron holds a BA in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis (1989) and a Masters in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (1995). After nearly 17 years as a designer, associate and senior associate at Hacin + Associates Inc., Aaron now splits his time between Studio DRAW and teaching in the architecture and interior design departments at Wentworth Institute of Technology where his inspiration is regularly renewed by the students. He believes in promoting the ideals of modern design while maintaining a strong respect for older architectural styles. Aaron enjoys all types of clients, understanding their desires, and working through design challenges.

Paul Sorrentino.jpg

Paul is a recent graduate from Wentworth Institute of Technology, having completed both his bachelor's (2017) and master's (2018) degree of architecture. Paul has experience working with the Harvard Business School in a project management setting. He also worked for Khalsa Design Inc., a firm focused on residential architecture. Paul and Aaron were first introduced to each other through school, and Aaron taught Paul for two semesters at Wentworth. Paul was eager to join the design team at Studio Draw after working closely with Aaron on his studio projects. Post education, Paul focuses on how architecture can shape its surrounding context, and how it can affect the lives of those who interact with it.
